7 Little Secrets...

These are some things not many people know...if any...they aren't my deepest secrets...but they are funny and a little embarrassing...

1. I used to go to Wesley Vanderveen's house all the time to get my haircut from his mom...and one time I stole 2 dollars from him. He had a whole treasure chest full of loonies, I thought he could spare a couple...I also used to steal gum ALL the time too :S

2. Most people know I was completely addicted to slurpees before...but in grade 10 or something, I used to buy 2 of the biggest sizes as well as a bag of chips, and sometimes a pack of gumballs like EVERYDAY after school for a few months straight! GROSS...now i just get the small sized one...

3. I am the supreme master at Minesweeper! I can spend hours on end playing that stupid Microsoft game. I've probably stayed up till about 4 am several times playing it...I'm actually playing right now :)...my personal best is 92 seconds on the expert size...BEAT THAT!

4. When I lived in the country back in the day, I had a neighbor with a small farm. And when I was bored I used to trespass on their property and snoop around. One time the lady saw me and I ran for my life...my brother and I trespassed sooooooooo much back then haha

5. Michael Plooy was my first kiss in Grade 5 on our feildtrip to Rundle Park...Jason Labossiere kept watch...but then he told everyone a few days later...thanks Jason...

6. I've gotten three traffic tickets in 2 weeks before...I have a total of about 6 ish, ok maybe 7, just for speeding...and I have gotten three big doozie ones that cost about 400 bucks each, I even had to go to court for one because I was going more than 50 over the limit (a lame construction zone...don't judge me)...I had my liscence suspended for a month a little more than half a year ago...are you surprised?

7. Some of you might've heard this...I whistle while I go to the bathroom...ever since I was about 5 years old and learned how. It's a good way to pass the time :) plus the bathroom has GREAT acoustics...

I must not have too many secrets cause it took me FOREVER to think of those...

Ok now...you can leave me a comment...but with it you have to say a little secret of your own...or you can just do this same thing on your own blog! :)

For Crying Out Loud...

I got rejected by Costco today...apparently they only hire people with FULL availability. Well guess what I think of that...LAME! If you're looking for people to work at your store...why don't you hire someone who is available six days a week until 5 at least, with 4 years of cashier experience, and someone who has a good attitude and is quick and efficient too...that's ME. No wonder every single place in this city is looking for workers...they wouldn't be so needy if they just hired people, instead of being so freakin picky! Arrgghhh! I feel like a failure...

FINALLY

So today, since I didn't have to work...I rolled up my sleeves and decided to finally do it...

I've been putting it off for like, seriously, a year...

My closer friends might know what I'm talking about...

Yes, I cleaned my car! For those of you who've been in my car lately know how badly it needed it too. It was SICK! I swear there were creepy crawlers just waiting to jump out from under the seats. *shudder* I don't think I've given it so much as a wipe since I bought it...eeek. I was on the verge of embarrassed every time someone had to take a ride in good ole Betsy. So I thought I would just get it over with, and it feels GREAT! I CAN'T beleive how disgusting I let it get. Remind me never to be a lazy ass again when it comes to keeping my blue baby clean, sheesh!

Mama's Day

I think I'm falling into a rut here...For the last three years I've gotten my mom flowers for Mothers Day. Granted they've been different types. Tulips...Orchids last year...this year I decided on the Gerber Daisies. They were pretty darn close to this picture...just not as green and straight and perfect and they were white and red, so maybe not like the pic at all. Anyways, from the reaction my mom gives me...she's happy with getting flowers...but is she really? That is the mystery...I think I would be satisfied with flowers if I were a mom, you know rather than getting something lame like oven mitts or something...

But maybe next year I'll find a nice necklace or earrings...just to throw mom a curve ball :)

Hope you had a great day mommers!

More Jannie Wannie! :)

So me and Katers went to Jann Arden the other day...once again a great show! Her hilariousness is what makes the concert for SURE. She always has some great stories about pads and other feminine products. They are classic, and this time she painted one of her signature angel paintings ON STAGE, she put it up for auction, and then donated the money to World Vision. Will you ever see another singer do that?! I don't think so!!! Me and kate again got closer seats this time. Nothing will compare to the first show we went to...but this one was still very stellar. I would show you a couple pics...but I am from the dinosaur times and have a film camera, so you'll have to wait :)

my bud kt has some pics right here for now though >

The Day I Met Jann...

This day was the biggest dream come true so far in my life...I've blogged about this before somewhere else...but now I have the photo to prove it! Ignore the fact that the girl who took it SUCKS at taking pictures, like way to cut off our feet you wiener...that could be a whole new post right there. So I'll give a little background to the pic...my friend Matt from school knew how much I loved Jann...and she was coming into the station he works at. He gave me a heads up that she was coming around and I OF COURSE dropped my life and zoomed on over there. It was GLORIOUS! :) I am a JannFann for life!

Hairshow!

I was in the ABA hairshow this past weekend as a hairmodel for A/G and it was a pretty crazy experience. First of all, people who know me KNOW that this kind of thing doesn't suit me AT ALL. So it's kinda funny that I actually followed through with it. So, after three or four warnings from friends that know people who's hair turned out disastrous ...I still trucked on to the Agricom. My hair turned out such a great colour and cut and everything so I was super relieved about that. They gave me a different style each day...

  • Renaissance Woman: this one was just straight and styled
  • Gold Plate: this one was major fluffy curls with half my hair weaved like a basket
I would say the hardest part about it all was that I had to model up on a catwalk thinger. HAHA Ridiculous! Nadine, modelling? hahaha...what a gong show! But I ended up having a blast, even with 15 hours of down time behind the black curtains. Thanks for telling me to go Kirstyn, and for the great pictures! I would definitely do it again. Anyone want to come with me next year?!

ps...They gave me 11 free A/G products and 2 fancy bags to put them in too!
